Amazing Days

Amazing Days

Just a smile
Distilled from sunlight,
Tears and pearls
Hints of innocence
Sprinkles of mischief
Chocolate swirls
Suppressed giggles,
Stirred in quick with
Mock rage, wrestling,
A couple of kicks

(An accidental elbow in the face too)

Laughter, more laughter, and some more
Rough and tumbles on the floor
Choking, sputtering,
Howling out loud
Sniggering at the stares from the crowd
Deep breaths, looking down
Being normal in vain
Catching our eyes and
Bursting out again

Just the time, the ride,
Music off key
Just what we are
In each others company
In this rain, in this wind, in raucous dissent
This now, what was, what is,
These moments

Just this, my friends

Just this smile I keep
That I take away
Distilled from a crazy, amazing day…

There’s rain in my face, wind in my hair, and friends by my side. It’s just one of those crazy, crazy amazing days.

Hope you have a great day today too! =D

Hugs and mega hugs,

Cookie ❤

Doncha know it’s illegal to suppress giggles??? …not to mention that it could damage your psyche ! Sounds like you were having a perfectly great time, Cookie.

Your laughter in the second verse became infectious. This is a delightfully uplifting reminiscence that brings the reader to the party as well. Very well executed.
