I wonder what a shipwreck must feel like
To have the very reason for your existence turn against you
Loosen you underpinnings, crack your frame
Leave you wrecked and open to shame
I wonder.. what does a shipwreck feel like?
To have the very medium of your existence turn against you
After all, one careless wave is all it takes
To drag you to down into the depths
I wonder, what does a shipwreck feel like?
When the tides, maelstroms were known
Who’s fault is it that the ships gone
That I chose, heedless, to carry on
Is it put upon the fickle sea?
Or is the flaw, shipwrecked, in me?
