Awakening

Dip into me with your presence
Stir your fingers in my soul
Rippling silkily over my skin,
Velvet shadows, glimmers of coal
Gliding softly, within, beyond
Resonating notes in whimpered sound
Fall from your beckoning gesture
Raise me up from the ground

Push away my hands, my will, and
Demolish my fortitude
Consume me, eat me alive, I
Fall away, in bliss imbued
Images dance on the wall as
The windows echo with noise
Outside, the world moves on as
Inside, little deaths I die

Outside, time moves on as it should
Inside, trapped in pearls, I lie

Break the dam of words in my mind
Stand me in your gaze, your eyes
Traverse over my oblivion
Glitter black, drowning my cries
Steeped in this intoxication
The most potent, heady brew
I step into the glass mirror
Drunk, in the spirits of you…
