Bimble Bumble Bum Bum

Bimble Bumble Bum Bum

A camel with a purple hump
Came over to show me his rump
He aah-ed and he ooh-ed
It hurt when he pooed
It seems that his bum had gone numb

I said, “Well what can I do?
Your bum’s in the dumps, ’tis true
Never have I seen
A camel so green
Or as purpley humped, as you!”

The camel, he huffed and he signed
Said, “Oh Doctor, never mind
I thought you’d prescribe
For me to imbibe
A bug or a drug or some kind”

I poked at his hump and I thought
He shouldn’t be left so distraught
I gave him some pills
To give his bum chills
And then numb or bummed he was not!

Yay! 😛

Day 22!! Today’s prompt was to write a poem for children, in the style of Edward Lear. And how can I be nonsensical without green camels with purple humps?

Cheers!

Brilliant humorous, nonsense verse, loved it! You could do a series of these for a children’s book of poetry easily. Awesome! 😀 x
