Love Kills Sweetly

Love Kills Sweetly

Love kills sweetly
With a silent, deadly dependence
An all consuming incandescence
You forget how to breathe
How closing you eyes is different
From falling asleep
How you ever were a one
Before you became one again
From two
Love kills sweetly
With its insidious, murderous whispers
That leave you aching, unrequited
Till you’re begging for that pretty knife
that’s been making shallow nicks all over
To go once through your chest
And put you to rest
That’s why you’re cruel
Love kills sweetly
But
you left me here to die too

Your writing really hits the reader with such an impact. Beautiful. Tragic. Poetic.
