To The Violinist

To The Violinist

To be trapped within
A wall of sound
Is a sort of agony
Captured, enraptured,
Your violin draws across
my heartstrings
Blossoming ecstasy
And blood
A flood
Of images
That rush across my eyes

Won’t you let me keep suffering
Your music?
Please keep me
suffering
tonight

Beautiful. I want to write again. But still a mess in my mind. Thank you for your poetry.

    • Thank you! Mmmm.. How about you write me something? Could be a complete jumble of words, could be a recipe for scrambled eggs- just something. 🙂

Just a thought. And you know I wouldn’t squeal to anyone too, so. 🙂

        Since I’ve been committed
        Into a hospital admitted
        I strive to flourish
        But end up mentally bored
The doctor comes and says I’m better
The CuriousBum is writing me a letter
        Purple perceptions the prolific
        Writing poetry that is terrific
And me just a sad man his days done
Unless they let me smoke a blunt
Then I’ll get all inspired and crazy
And not even the hardest working
        Would call me lazy

      • Uh uh uh, you’re not lazy already. As for the blunt, that’s likely to have to opposite effect. :p

Aaaaand thanks for the lil ditty! 🙂

Cookie, this was absolutely stunning until the last stanza. That took away the power and force that you had built in the earlier part of the poem. 🙂 Big hug !
