It stings
When you tear away from me
Rips my flesh apart
To the bone
And I weather
Erode away
It crumbles,
My heart of stone
I wait for you

Fire pours out
From my finger tips
Ablaze, insane, my eyes
In vain
Streaming infernos
Circle within
Zephyrs of all you said
Acid rain
I look to you

I twist the knife
Carve out my veins
And the bed is
Washed red, anew
I seek answers, hidden, buried
Blurred from my view
In sinew
I glance at you

And I’m bleeding out

I inhale another lungful of
Fresh water, rushing, choking in
This is the cost of love, I’ll pay
For loving you more
Than Hell loves sin
I call to you,

And I’m drowning now

I’m dying now
But that’s okay
